Guqin Beginner’s Small Group Class (Right Hand Basic Techniques)[En]

In the stillness between heaven and earth, the guqin speaks without words.This 4-week small group class guides beginners through the fundamental right-hand techniques — mo, tiao, gou, ti, da, zhai, pi, tuo — cultivating grace, precision, and inner calm through every touch of the string.

Students will also learn to play two open-finger melodies, including “A Laughter Across the Vast Sea”  — a tune echoing vastness, freedom, and the Daoist spirit of transcendence. Come to listen with your heart, to let silence become sound, and to find harmony in stillness.

Schedule: Saturdays, Nov. 1st – Nov. 22nd, 2025, 9:00–11:00 AM. Guqins will be provided for use during class. For home practice, students are encouraged to have their own instrument — guidance and selection assistance will be available.
